Europe betting on Pfizer (PFE) and BioNTech (BNTX). Pfizer is up a percent while BioNTech is up 3% as the European Union won't take up an extra 300 million doses of AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines and instead will favor the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine to inoculate at least 70% of EU adults by the end of the summer.
Profit-taking in Netflix (NFLX). Netflix is trading down 7% even though the company easily beat earnings expectations as sales rose 24%. However, guidance and subscription growth mixed expectations pointing to fatigue among viewers after a year of COVID-19-driven binge streaming. Competition is also growing thanks to Hulu, Discovery+, Disney+, HBO Max and Amazon Prime Video.
