Diamonds and Dogs
Everyone loves Kansas City Southern (KSU). The railway stock is jumping 7% after Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. confirmed that it has made what it believes is a "superior" buyout bid for the Missouri-based railroad operator. That follows a report in The Wall Street Journal that Canadian Pacific was planning a new higher bid.
Chip stocks modestly lower as DRAM maker, Micron (MU) is down 3%. No news, but the company is presenting at the KeyBanc Technology Leadership Virtual Forum today. After a 19% correction, the stock is barely up for the year. The good news is the company initiated a dividend of 10 cents last week, the first dividend ever for the company. Not bad.
