Pfizer (PFE) lifting the major averages. Pfizer is jumping 8%, nearly lifting the major averages by a percent as Pfizer said its Covid-19 pill cut the risk of hospitalization or death by 89% in a trial of high-risk non-hospitalized adults, besting its rival, Merck 's efficiency by a wide margin. Good news for Pfizer is bad news for Merck down 8% and the other COVID-19 drug and pill makers Moderna, Eli Lilly and Regeneron.

Peloton (PTON) spinning its wheels. The Interactive bike company is down 31% following disappointing earnings, the slowest quarterly sales growth in over a year and lower guidance. Pelton is finding their business model challenging as they exit from COVID-19 pandemic. Peloton is facing higher costs and slowing demand as people go outside or back to gyms to exercise.
