Boring is beautiful to start the year. AT&T (T) rose 2% on an upgrade and strong subscription numbers at WarnerMedia's HBO Max. The streaming service gained subscribers through the holidays, thanks to the revival of its popular "Sex and the City" series and newly released films such as "The Matrix Resurrections."
Tech taking it on the chin. Dow component, Salesforce.com (CRM) fell 8% to a seven month low on a downgrade and concerns of slowing growth. The analyst at UBS believes software demand may have been pulled-forward over the last 18 months more than most investors and even software firms think.
