Walmart (WMT) higher by 10% following better than expected earnings. Walmart beat by 18 cents as revenue rose 8.8% to $152.8 billion. Comparable U.S. sales, those from stores and digital channels operating over the past 12 months rose 8.2% through Oct. 28, from a year earlier. Sales of groceries, store brands and seasonal items were strong as well. Walmart said shopper visits to stores increased 2.1% in the third quarter.
Harley Davidson (HOG) is lower by a percent on a downgrade at Jefferies. The analyst said the stock has moved too far too fast and is due for a 20% pullback. I do know Harley is heading into a seasonally tough season for bike riding.
