Oneida Financial Corp. (ONFC)

Oneida Financial is surprising its investors today, up 46.94% to $19.47. The bank saw its shares rally after news that it would be bought out by Community Bank. Under the terms of the deal, Oneida shareholders will have a choice to receive either 0.5635 shares of Community Bank stock per share of Oneida or $20.00 per share in cash. The deal was already unanimously approved by both companies board of directors and be official barring 60% of Oneida shareholders vote for the deal. Shares of Oneida climbed $6.25 today to a new 52-week high of $19.49.

Boston Beer Co. Inc. (SAM)

Boston Beer Co. (i.e. Sam Adams) is making its investors want to drink today, down 11.18% to $275.96. The brewing company saw its shares tank after missing on fourth quarter earnings. For the quarter, Boston Beer Co. announced revenues of $217.8 million or an EPS of $1.40. Analysts' were expecting the company to have an EPS of $1.51. Shares of Boston Beer Co. fell as low as $253.01 today but are significantly above their 52-week low of $208.82.
