Streaming is working. Disney (DIS) is up 2% after their movie, "Black Widow" captured $80 million in its first weekend, the biggest opening weekend since the pandemic. Even better news for Disney was $60 million of the $80 domestic box office was generated on their Disney+ streaming platform. Not the best news for the movie theater industry.
Good news, bad news for Virgin Galactic (SPCE). Billionaire and founder, Richard Branson took his first flight to the edge of outer space, beating rival and Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos to space. However, the stock is down by 10% as the company still has no revenue and may need to sell up to $500 million in stock to keep operations going.
