A good day for sports. Foreign firm, Amer Sports (AS) is jumping 17% on better than expected earnings as revenue rose 24% to $1.47 billion. The Finnish firm that owns Wilson, Louisville Slugger and ski apparel raised guidance as they see strong demand and pricing power across the global. Dicks Sporting Goods is rebounding, in positive territory on analyst comments.
United (UAL) lower by 3% on news the U.S. Transportation Department will announce on Tuesday that it is moving forward with temporary cuts to flights at Newark after meetings with major U.S. airlines to address congestion impacts, airline officials said Tuesday.
