Oh, What Tangled Webs We Weave

Politics is certainly not for the faint of heart, or for the morally strong. A high profile Wall Streeter recently accepted a multi-year ban from the securities industry for an alleged kick-back scheme involving the New York State Common Retirement Fund. This is the same Money Man that was appointed by the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry to be the Auto Czar during the recent financial crisis. He is also married to the former National Finance Chair for the Democratic Party. He is also a close confident of Mayor Bloomberg and recently wrote a column for Bloomberg Businessweek. His ban and slap on the wrist fine of $5 million proves once again that politics pays. As the election hysteria comes to its crescendo, it is hard to get excited about any of the players. Political animals are looting our pension funds, our real estate holdings, and anything else they can get their hands on, with no end in sight. Republican, or Democrat, or Conservative, its time to "throw the bums out".
